Unpacking is the phase of the move that often has the biggest impact on our clients, we often hear, “Where am I going to put everything?” Our unpacking services can assist you in reducing this stressful phase. We have several options available to our clients from: No Unpacking (you do it all), Some Unpacking, and Full Unpacking. During our initial consultation, we will discuss in detail your options and provide you an estimate for this service. On a typical full service move, your moving coordinator has been with you during the packing and moving phases, and upon arrival at your new home, has started the unpacking while the moving truck is being unloaded. After everything has arrived inside your new home the unpacking staff takes over, opening the boxes, unwrapping everything and putting things away. We always try to put things into cupboards, closets, bookcases, etc. that are as close to where you had them in your old house as we can so you will have an easier time finding things. As your boxes are unpacked, we remove them and the packing materials from your home. On large moves unpacking may require a few days to complete. On those occasions, if a client is spending the night in their new home instead of staying at a hotel or with family, the bed is made and the items necessary for the next morning are unpacked and set-up for the client at the minimum. Boxes are also stacked safely out of the way, so you can move about your new home without worrying about falling over something in the dark. Once everything is unpacked, if you have selected our Picture Hanging Services, we will hang your pictures and mirrors. When we have completed everything you have requested, we leave you to enjoy your new home allowing you to invite old friends and new neighbors over for a visit. |
